What is your adoption process?
At Priceless Pet Rescue, we want to make the adoption process as welcoming and straightforward as possible!
Step 1: Find Your New Best Friend!
Browse our available dogs at www.pricelesspetrescue.org. Each dog’s profile includes information about their availability and location.
Step 2: Submit an Adoption Application
Complete the online adoption application by clicking the “Apply for Adoption” button on the dog’s profile. We encourage you to apply before visiting, but you do not need to wait for an application approval email to visit one of our adoption centers.
Step 3: Visit Us and Meet the Dogs!
Our adoption centers welcome walk-in visitors during regular business hours, with no appointment necessary for dogs currently at our centers. Some dogs are in foster care or available by appointment only. For these dogs, our team will contact you to help arrange a meet-and-greet.
Step 4: Complete Your Adoption!
Our adoption counselors will meet with you, discuss the dog’s needs, and help determine whether it’s a good match. Final adoption approval takes place during this in-person visit, when any additional requirements and adoption paperwork are completed.
Important Things to Know:

Adoptions are generally first-come, first-served. Submitting an application does not reserve a dog or guarantee adoption.

If you already have a dog, our team may request a dog-to-dog introduction and will help coordinate it.

Renters must provide written confirmation that pets are permitted by their landlord or lease.

Adoptions must be completed in person by the applicant.

Dogs currently at one of our adoption centers can be visited during regular business hours. No appointment is necessary!

Dogs in Foster Care or Available by Appointment: Some dogs are not housed at our adoption centers. If you’ve submitted an application for one of these dogs, our team will contact you to help arrange a meet-and-greet. If you haven’t received instructions, please email us at info@pricelesspetrescue.org for assistance.
Before visiting, please check the dog’s individual profile at www.pricelesspetrescue.org to confirm their current location and availability, as dogs may be adopted or transferred between locations.

What are your adoption prices?
Adoption fees vary by animal and are listed in each pet’s individual profile on our website. Please visit our available animals page to view current adoption fees.
As an organization, we require each pet to leave our facility with a collar and tag. You can bring your own, or purchase a set from us for an additional $15 per item.
All small animals, and cats must leave in a carrier. You can bring your own or purchase one at our adoption center for a small fee.
What is included in the adoption fee?
Your adoption fee helps support so much more than veterinary care!
From the moment an animal enters our rescue until the day they find their forever home, Priceless Pet Rescue provides food, shelter, bedding, toys, enrichment, daily care, and the supplies needed to keep them healthy, safe, and comfortable.
Adoption fees also help offset veterinary expenses, including:

Spay or neuter surgery

Age-appropriate vaccinations

Microchipping
-
Deworming
For many of our rescue animals, particularly those requiring extensive medical treatment or longer stays, the cost of care far exceeds their adoption fee. Every adoption helps us continue providing compassionate care to animals in need.
Special Information for Puppy Adoptions
Because puppies may be adopted before they are old enough for certain vaccinations or spay/neuter surgery, some medical services may be completed after adoption.
When applicable, Priceless Pet Rescue provides vouchers for these remaining services at no additional cost. Adopters are required to sign an agreement confirming that any outstanding medical requirements, including spay/neuter surgery, will be completed within the timeframe specified in their adoption contract.
Our adoption team will explain any remaining medical requirements before you take your new family member home.

Are adoption fees tax-deductible?
Adoption fees are generally not tax-deductible because, in exchange for the fee, you’re welcoming a new forever family member into your home!
The good news is, Priceless Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and we welcome additional charitable donations at the time of adoption! These voluntary contributions are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Your generosity helps us provide food, shelter, veterinary care, and everything else our rescue animals need while waiting for their forever homes.

Where do you get your rescue animals from?
All animals are rescued from unknown backgrounds, various circumstances, owner surrenders or rescued directly from open access county or city shelters. We make sure all known medical issues, behavior, health, and temperament is disclosed. However, there are often circumstances when background, history and overall health and temperament are unknown. We strive to find forever families for all our pets and do not discriminate on breed, gender, or temperament! We feel every animal deserves a chance at a forever home.

Q: Can I adopt two puppies from the same litter?
A: No, it is Priceless Pets’ policy to only allow adoptions of one puppy per litter per family.
Q: Can I apply for more than one dog?
A: Absolutely! You may express interest in multiple dogs. Please include the names of the dogs you’re interested in on your application.
Q: What do I need to adopt a puppy?
A: We encourage you to complete an online adoption application before visiting. Final adoption approval takes place in person, and additional paperwork must be completed before taking your puppy home.
If you rent your home, please bring written confirmation that dogs are permitted. This may be a lease agreement or an email from your landlord.
Q: Do I need to bring my current dog when adopting another dog?
A: Not necessarily. In some situations, we may require a meet-and-greet between your current dog(s) and the dog you’re interested in adopting. Our adoption team will let you know if an introduction is needed and help coordinate the meeting.
